Aaron Swartz killed himself this month. I can also identify with Aaron, he was a nerd, a geek, he said and did things that upset people, so they threatened him with lawsuits and jail time. I didn't blog about Aaron's death, but I did retweet some stuff. Now his obituary is in the Economist. I'm not sure if that is something to aspire to, but it is nice to know not everyone agrees with how he was treated. http://www.economist.com/news/obituary/21569674-aaron-swartz-computer-programmer-and-activist-committed-suicide-january-11th-aged-26-aaron I also can't help but notice how successful Lance Armstrong became in part from lying, bullying, and cheating. People are too quick to lie, too quick to cheat, and too quick to hurt and threaten others with whom they disagree. I'm not sure the world is better off when Lance Armstrong an admitted liar and cheater is a successful famous millionaire free to do as he pleases and someone like Aaron Swartz kills themselves because they are tired of being threatened and bullied.
