Sporting Life

I grew up playing a lot of sports, a sporting life if you will. I tried most everything but the two sports I played the most would be soccer and rugby. During my one season playing for the UVIC Jutes I don’t think we lost. After that I focused on my studies but I still feel those old injuries. I’ve definitely added to them playing in less competitive leagues and living life.

Although my training and fitness level have gone up and down, my time spent watching and following sports has definitely decreased. I grew up an avid sports fan especially of the NFL and the NHL. Of course I cheered for teams in the other major North American sports leagues. I still have memorabilia I’ve collected and I’m still in a hockey pool, but the sport I may follow the closest now may be MMA, particularly the UFC.

So if you live a sporting life and are interested in sports or fitness you should peruse this archive of blog posts below or you can send me a question using email or social media.

World’s Strongest Woman

Sunday, August 5th, 2012

I was upstairs trying to find a job, but when I came down for lunch my mom was watching the Olympics, first it was 3m women’s springboard then women’s 75+ kg weightlifting came on. I’ve actually spent considerable time and effort updating an old post about a Korean winning this event in Beijing 2008…
