More Blogging and Painting
May 11th, 2009I got a lot of stuff on my painting desk again, but most of it is just primed black. There are sweet unique conversions if I do say so myself. I even cropped the photo below to keep one model out of the picture. I eventually added a closeup of the face of the Plaguemarine Champion in the upper right corner.
More in-progress pictures could be found over in my thread at the B&C as well as the odd one in the Astronomi-con Vancouver forums. I don’t want to give away all my secrets and tricks yet. But with half a month down I need to paint even more and possibly lower my standards. Hopefully most of my converting work is done and the only characters are in progress. I am not adding any new vehicles so it is just the heavy weapons and special weapons that will get a little extra effort.
Painting Miniatures in 2022
As 2021 came to an end, I revisited many of my old miniature painting blog posts. All the Chaos Space Marine Havocs pictured above got finished and used in multiple tournaments/gaming conventions but not recently. First I stored all my models and paints and worked overseas, then when I finally got them out, Bill wanted to play Warcry of all games.
Finally just before the end of the year, Bill called me up and asked me if I wanted to play Warhammer 40,000. I of course said yes, but my army is old and far from optimal. You can read how the game went and now I have fresh new plans to paint Plague Marines, probably some Chaos Cultists and even some Chaos Spawn. I don’t plan to paint many large models but I will be doing some new HQ, likely unconverted as Games Workshop has released a lot of models since 2009.
I’ll also likely get around to finishing the terminators primed above and painting even more likely both Blightlords and Deathshroud. If you have big miniature painting plans or advice on how to build a Death Guard or Chaos Space Marine army you can leave it below.
