路遥知马力, 日久见人心
December 22nd, 2008While looking for a Chinese proverb to complete my Christmas/New Year’s card I found this one. Which literally means “Over a long distance, you learn about the strength of your horse; over a long time, you learn about the character of your friend.” Apparently it can be used as a compliment or to criticize friends who were untrue. I learned a lot about untrue friends during my MBA.

Of course parts of my blog are still fubar’ed. I’ll let it try to upgrade to WordPress 3.0.1 again, but first I’ll backup… All my plugins are already disabled including Disqus so who knows where this comment will end up…
Horay for Salina Lai and this post/tip here!

Now my Asian text is back and I didn’t have to upgrade or convert the database, just change two lines of wp-config.php
Now in 2024 Salina’s website is gone or at least that post is, but my post with Chinese characters in the title and URL remains.
