I tried to get on the alpha or beta test list for Civ World, but my Facebook friends didn’t sign up in droves to the Van City Allstars. I’ve known people who were beta testers, even authors of gaming rule books or games…

This week has not been a good one for my various electronic devices on which I rely to keep me entertained, informed, even employed…

So I’ve been doing a lot of research into this and stayed up probably too late some nights reading and trying some games out. I still say Undercroft is the best computer RPG experience on the iPhone for those of us who’ve played the classics. Those of use who remember the original AD&D and the Red Box and the Blue Box, hell Tunnels and Trolls…

The latest game that has been sucking me in is Undercroft on my iPhone. It is an old school RPG in the style of Eye of the Beholder, though the puzzles and humor remind me more of games by Steve Meretzky…
