Seaweed Storm

There has been a lot of wind and rain of late in Deep Bay. As a result there have been some very high tides. What is not so common is the sheer volume of seaweed being left behind. I should have perhaps took pictures at high tide yesterday while out walking the dog, but I didn’t have my camera with me.

Even today, the second day of nicer weather, there are piles up past your knees which you are often forced to walk through. It didn’t seem to bother Huuna she ran and played in the seaweed.

Now after our hour of walking she is sulking in my room on the bed.

I was talking with another fellow about the lack of logs left on the beach. We think it is due to the reduction in logging and the move towards dry land sorts.
